Violations galore in Sector  17: The authorities should set an example by first putting their own house in order. There are violations in offices of the Chandigarh Administration and those of the Haryana Government in the 30 Bays building and in banks at Bank Square.

The traders of Sector 17-E have questioned the haste in which the drive to remove advertisement boards, loose wiring and air conditioning units was conducted and why no action was taken to remove the same visual clutter that existed in the 30 Bays building in 17 C and the Bank Square in Sector 17 B.

Loose wires continue to hang in Bank Square

Loose wires of landline telephones and Internet continue to hang around in the corridors of buildings in the Bank Square that witnessed a major fire at Syndicate Bank last year.

Wooden partitions in 30 Bays building

Ignoring the building bylaws, wooden partitions have been made in most of the offices of the Haryana Government located in the 30 Bays building.
