Panchkula, April 29
Thieves decamped with jewellery and cash worth several lakhs after breaking open the locks of a house in Dharampur colony, Pinjore, this morning.
After receiving information, a police team, led by SHO of the Pinjore police station Mukesh Kumar, reached the spot. Members of the forensic team also reached there to collect fingerprints of the miscreants.
Tarsem Garg, in his complaint to the police, said he, along with his wife, had gone to the bank. When they returned home, he found the locks of the main door broken. When they entered the house, they found the goods scattered.
He claimed that the thieves had taken away gold jewellery, 5-kg silver and Rs 70,000.
A case has been registered at the Pinjore police station and further investigations were on. — TNS
