Jia, Samar emerge champs

PANCHKULA: Jia Kataria and Samar Partap Sandhu emerged champions at the 4th Maharaj Krishan North Zone Juniors Golf Tournament held at the Panchkula Golf Club here on Tuesday.

Jia Kataria and Samar Partap Sandhu emerged champions at the 4th Maharaj Krishan North Zone Juniors Golf Tournament held at the Panchkula Golf Club here on Tuesday. 

Playing in Category B, Jia shot a 1-under 71, while Sandhu dominated Category D with a card of 1-over 73. 

Eighty-seven golfers from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, J&K and the tricity participated in tournament.

In the girls’ competition, Ojaswini Saraswat (39) topped Category F, while Mahika Garg (36) finished first in Category E.  Teesta Rawat (86) and Ravjot Kaur (85) took the honour in Category D and C respectively. Khushi (73) bagged the title in the Category A.  

Fatehbir Singh (44), meanwhile, claimed the title in Category F. Deeon S Pao (35) and Abhimanyu Pargal (79) dominated the field in Category E and C respectively, while Harsimran Sangha (77) topped Category B. Anish Nangia (88) finished first in Category A.
