In a first major reshuffle in Panjab University (PU), Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, replaced Prof AS Ahluwalia with Dr Muneeshwar Joshi, former Deputy Registrar, as the Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor (SVC).
Dr Joshi has 46 years of experience and has worked in various capacities like five years each with the local government minister, Punjab Government, and special officer to Vice-Chancellor, during Prof RC Sobti’s tenure.
Dr Joshi worked as the Registrar at Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi, prior to joining the PU.
Prof Ahluwalia’s tenure was for about five months. He is from the Botany department. Sources said more appointments were on the way as the Registrar’s tenure was also ending soon.
