Juvenile, brother arrested for vendor’s murder
Panchkula, December 14
A day after a 25-year-old vendor of temple offerings was murdered at the Mansa Devi Complex, the police today arrested two brothers, including a juvenile, for the crime.
Bhagwan Dass, SHO, MDC police station, said the deceased Jagdeep’s cycle had hit a minor boy of Gandhi Colony, which led to arguments between the two. Later, the juvenile and his elder brother Shiv Kumar had a scuffle with Jagdeep during which the boy stabbed Jagdeep to death, he said.
Jagdeep Singh was a resident of Bhainsa Tibba village at the MDC. He was the only son of his parents and used to sell temple offerings outside the Mansa Devi temple.
Earlier, the deceased’s family members blocked a road at Mansa Devi Complex demanding arrest of the accused. They lifted their dharna after the accused in the case were arrested. —TNS
