Kalka, Pinjore without power for over 10 hours

Several areas of Kalka and Pinjore were deprived of electricity for more than 10 hours on Saturday night.
Residents alleged that they had to face a lot of inconvenience as there was no power from 8:30 pm to 7 am.
Residents of the main bazaar, Kalka, said they spent the entire night sitting outside their houses.
When the power supply was restored, there was voltage fluctuation throughout the day today.
Ravinder, SDO of the UHBVN, Kalka, said the problem occurred due to some snag in the transformer in the main bazaar near sabzi mandi. If the snag would not be rectified till Monday, the transformer would be replaced.
