Chandigarh, December 3

Lamp-lighting and Florence Nightingale pledge-taking ceremony of 47th batch of BSc (Nursing) first year students of National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE) , PGI, held here today before the induction of students to clinical areas. Dr Karobi Das, Principal, NINE, welcomed Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGI, and guests of honour Prof Arvind Rajwanshi, Dean, Academic, PGI, and Prof Gurpreet Singh Sub-Dean, Academics.

Dr Karobi Das highlighted the significance of lamp lighting and inspired the students to utilise the knowledge gained during clinical practice. She, thereafter, encouraged the students to work in clinical areas with full devotion and dedication under the supervision of clinical teachers. Prof Jagat Ram highlighted the role of nurses in patient care.
