Dr Manmohan familiarised the gathering with thinkers from modern to post-modern times. The key concepts of post-modernity were widely discussed in the lecture.

He concluded that there was no universal truth because it was always relative one. “In advanced capitalism, new identities emerge and we have to address the concerns of those on the basis of their cultural space,” he added.

Dr Manmohan also answered queries of students regarding the concept of “otherness” and “universalisation”.

Prof Sukhdev Singh, Prof Uma Sethi, Prof Sarabjit Singh, Dr Parveen Kumar, Dr Pawan Kumar and Prof Ashwani Kumar also attended the lecture.
