Legal literacy camp for senior citizens

Kharar, October 2

The District Legal Services Authority today organised a legal literacy-cum-medical check-up camp for senior citizens on the occasion of International Day for the Elderly at Mata Gujri Sukh Niwas Old Age Home, Khanpur, Kharar.

The camp was organised in coordination with a team of the Civil Hospital, Phase 6, and Civil Hospital, Kharar.

Shikha Goel, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, distributed pamphlets having legal services information among the gathering.

Senior citizens were made aware of the NALSA (Legal Services to Senior Citizens) Scheme, 2015 and toll free helpline no. 1969 and the other activities of legal services authority.
