Chandigarh, September 11

In their endeavour to  commemorate the historic lecture delivered by Swami Vivekanand at the World Parliament  of Religions held at Chicago on this day way back in 1893, the Mumbai-based Indian Drama Entertainment Akademi (IDEA) staged a biographical play on the life of Swami Vivekananda at Tagore Theatre  here today.

The event was a part of the 'Rashtar Prem Utsav' organised by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar Trust . 

Written by Sayed Hameed, the play with Mohammad Akeel Alvi portrayed the legend of Swami Vivekananda chronicled important events in his life under the direction of Muzib Khan.

Chief guest Kaptan Singh Solanki, while paying tribute to the legend, observed that  attuned to the absolute and incarnating  spirit of India,   invincible genius Swami Vivekananda had influenced the world  intellectuals , scholars, religious patriarchs and general public in India and abroad  with his vision, wisdom and secularism of religions.
