Local Bodies Minister suspends Barwala subdivision patwari

Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain today suspended Phool Singh, patwari of the Barwala subdivision, during monthly meeting of the grievances committee held here today. 

In his complaint to the grievances committee, Manish Kumar, a resident of Batod village, had stated that some private person was doing revenue work from the seat of patwari Phool Singh. He said the said person had taken Rs 1,000 for making an entry into the revenue record.

Kavita Jain had asked the SDM to file a report after holding enquiry into the matter. After finding the allegations levelled against the patwari and the private person true, the SDM had charge-sheeted partwari.

Today, the complainant also presented a video with regard to his allegations showing the private person doing work from the seat of patwari Phool Singh. After this, Minister Kavita Jain issued directions for suspending patwari, besides registering a case against the private person. She also directed officials to hold an independent investigation to find out how many persons were involved in the case of corruption. 

The minister also gave instructions to take departmental action against officers and employees involved in the case pertaining to changing the place of dharamsala, which was yet to be constructed at Khoi village. 

Pritam Chand of Khoi village had complained that grant was sanctioned by the state government for constructing a dharmashala in his village, but the gram panchayat and officials shifted dharamsala to Tauran village.
