Chandigarh: The police have booked the unknown driver of a Swift car who drove off without paying after getting the fuel tank of his car refilled at a petrol station. The complainant, Ajay Kumar, reported that the driver of a car bearing a Haryana number got it refilled with petrol worth Rs 2,400 at the HP petrol pump opposite the ISBT- 43 on March 21 and drove off without paying. A case under Section 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the IPC has been registered at the Sector 36 police station. TNS
Ram Darbar resident duped
Chandigarh: A resident of Ram Darbar was duped of Rs 10,000 by two persons at Industrial Area, Phase II, here on Thursday. The complainant, Durgesh Kumar of Ram Darbar, Phase II, alleged that the accused convinced him to hand over cash to them in exchange of a bundle of notes of Rs 500 denomination. The victim later discovered that the bundle had pieces of paper, not money. A case has been registered at the Industrial Area police station. TNS

Chandigarh: A resident of Lalru, identifed as Gaurav, has been arrested for trespassing on a house in Ram Darbar and misbehaving with a woman on March 22. A case has been registered. TNS
