The police have arrested a person for allegedly killing his 30-year-old son in a fit of rage at Nayagaon here last night.

The suspect, Randhir Singh of Janta Colony at Nayagaon, picked up a brick and hit his son Aman on his head. The assault proved fatal for him.

Nayagaon SHOInspector Dalbir Singh said Aman was an alcoholic and used to create ruckus. He added that Aman, who was under the influence of liquor, had a fight with his neighbour late on Sunday night. “The enraged father took his son inside the house where they had a heated exchange. In a fit of rage, Randhir Singh hit Aman with a brick on his head,” he said.

Aman fell unconscious and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
