Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Mohali, organised an annual inter-school competition, ‘Techno minds,’ for classes VIII to X, where 15 schools of the tricity participated and three teams from each participating school took part in the competition. Agamjot Kaur and Sanya Behl of Manav Mangal School, Avneet Kaur and Khushi Chandra of Manav Mangal School, Harleen Kaur and Ridhima Garg of Shivalik Public School were the winners.
Bhavan student strikes gold
A student of Class II at Bhavan Vidyalya School, Sector 33, Arjun, won a gold medal in the Kukkiwon Cup Indian International Taekwondo Championship at Talkotora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The championship aimed at bringing taekwondo practitioners from different backgrounds and countries from all around the world to perform skills of taekwondo. The event was held from May 16 to 18.
Students make food without fire
Students of Moti Ram Arya Modern Public School Sector 7, Panchkula, participated in various activities like cooking without fire, tile making and slogan writing on the theme ‘Beti Bacho Beti Padhao’. They prepared snacks and food item without fire. The motive of these activities was to enhance creativity among the students. —TNS
