Map quiz organised

Chandigarh, April 15

Centre for Advanced Study (UGC), Department of Geography, Panjab University, in association with the Indian National Cartographic Association (INCA) Chandigarh Chapter organised the first ever map quiz for post-graduate students of Department of Geography today. 

The event was held with an objective to popularise awareness and application of topographical maps, satellite imageries, GIS and GPS. The Indian National Cartographic Association Hyderabad sponsored the event and the Survey of India Chandigarh provided the logistic support. The event was attended by 110 students of geography, remote sensing and disaster management.
