Maurya tops Patiala city with 98% in CBSE Class X exams

Maurya Sharma of St Peter’s Academy topped Patiala with 98 per cent marks in the CBSE Class X examination, results of which were declared on Tuesday. Maurya scored 490 marks out 500.
Drishti of Our Lady of Fatima School, Rhea Singla of Budha Dal Public School, Simran Kaur of Akal Academy, Balbehra, and Jessica Dhiman of Narain Public School secured second position with 97.8 per cent marks. Diksha of Our Lady of Fatima secured third position in Patiala with 97.6 per cent marks.
District topper Maurya Sharma said, “I did not expect to top Patiala. I was consistent throughout the exams.” Talking about his future plans, Maurya said, “I want to become a journalist in future.”
How schools performed
DAV Public School
DAV students came out with flying colours by giving an outstanding performance in the CBSE results. In all, 236 students appeared for the exams. As many as 38 students scored above 90 per cent marks. Aishwarya with 97.2 per cent marks bagged the first position while the second position was grabbed by Shruti with 96.6 per cent marks whereas Devesh Singla and Yogender Arya shared the third position with 96.4 per cent marks.
Akal Academy, Balbehra
Akal Academy, Balbehra, has achieved 100 per cent first division result in the CBSE Class X examination. Simran Kaur has stood first with 97.8 per cent marks. As many as 14 students scored above 90 per cent marks.
Career Academy School
Students of Career Academy once again proved their mettle in the CBSE Class X examination. Navdeep Kaur topped the school with 95.6 per cent marks, while Varneet Kaur secured 95 per cent marks. Ravneet Singh scored 94 per cent marks, Bhavleen Kaur 92.6 per cent, Jaspreet Kaur 91.4 per cent, Shavinder Singh 91 per cent, Parleez Kaur 90.8 per cent, and Arpandeep Kaur 90 per cent marks.
Modern Senior Secondary School
Modern Senior Secondary School, Patiala, has shown the tremendous execution of hard work in the Class X board exams. Gaurav Taneja bagged first position scoring 96.2 per cent marks, Anureet Kaur secured second position by getting 96 per cent whereas the third position was taken by Tarundeep Singh by scoring 95 per cent marks.
Blossoms Senior Secondary School
Students of Class X of Blossoms Senior Secondary School, Patiala, have come out with flying colours in the CBSE board results with 100 per cent pass percentage. In all, 56 students appeared for the board exams. Amita Verma secured the first position in the school with 94.4 per cent marks followed by Deepanshi Garg with 93.3 per cent marks.
Our Lady of Fatima
Students of Our Lady of Fatima gave outstanding result. As many as 133 students appeared the Class X exams in which 48 students got A1. Drishti and Diksha scored 98 per cent marks, Nivedita, Gurmanleen and Janvi scored 97 per cent and Priyam, Nitish Gogia, Aashna Mahajan and Shrey scored 96 per cent marks.
Police DAV
Students of Class X of Police DAV have come out with flying colours in the board results. Sumedha topped with 97.21 per cent marks while Vanshika stood second with 95.8 per cent marks. Simranjeet Kaur and Simranpreet Kaur shared the third position with 94 per cent marks. Five students scored above 90 per cent, 11 students above 80 per cent and 23 students scored above 70 per cent.
Mukat Public School
Mukat Public School, Rajpura, has received excellent results. All students have shown winsome performance. In all 166 candidates appeared, Nishant Arora made the school proud by achieving 97.4 per cent marks.
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School
Students of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School have again brought laurels by getting a meritorious percentage in Class X board exams. Harjot Singh got 94.8 per cent marks, followed by Tisha Singla with 94.2 per cent and Jashanpreet Kaur with 93.2 per cent marks.
St Peter’s Academy
Once again, Class X students of St Peter’s Academy brought accolades to the school by bringing 100 per cent results. As many as 132 students appeared for the exam, and out them, 39 students scored 90 per cent and above, while 53 students scored marks ranging from 80 to 89 per cent. With 98 per cent marks, Maurya Sharma topped at the school. Disha Pathak scored 96.8 per cent marks and Manya Bansal and Khoobayshee Aggarwal scored 96.6 per cent marks.
Budha Dal Public School
Budha Dal Public School has once again excelled in the CBSE Class X examination. Over 20 students scored 95 per cent marks. Rhea Singla topped with 97.8 per cent while Samridhi Khullar was the second topper who got 96.8 per cent and Prachi Goel got 96.6 per cent marks.
Paradise Int’l School
Tulsi Devi topped the school with 95 per cent marks, Aashima got the second position with 94 per cent and Jyoti Singla got the third position with 93 per cent marks. More than 20 students got above 80 per cent marks.
Akal Academy, Reeth Kheri
Students of Akal Academy, Reeth Kheri, have come out with flying colours giving 100 per cent result overall. Virlaj Kaur bagged first position scoring 96.2 per cent marks followed by Anmolpreet Kaur with 96 per cent marks and Harmanjot Kaur bagged third position scoring 95 per cent marks.
Ryan International School
Diya Sharma with 96.8 per cent marks topped the school followed by Sheron Singh 95.4 per cent marks. Arpanpreet Kaur and Simranjit Kaur secured 94.8 per cent marks.
