Patiala, September 22
A workshop titled ‘THESIS – True Happiness Ended Since It Started’ was organised at Government Medical College (GMC) here today.
The workshop, organised by the Department of General Surgery, was aimed to help the post-graduation students in research work.
Speakers Dr Manisha Aggarwal, Dr Neetu Sharma and Dr Supratik Das guided the students about various aspects of thesis writing.
Around 100 students and faculty members from all departments participated in the workshop.
Dr Ashwani Kumar, medical superintendent and head of the department of general surgery, said it was for the first time in the history of the GMC that such a workshop had been organised.
He said, “Thesis is an integral part of post-graduation. Every year residents face difficulty in thesis writing but only this time an effort has been made to make it easy for them.”
The emphasis was also laid on research methodology to promote research projects by the young doctors. — TNS
