By the time the visitors got the possession, they were already two goals behind. Although they tried hard to reduce the margin, but host goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar stood like a rock in front of the Chandigrh goalpost.

The match entered half-time with Minerva leading 2-0, and after the break, Minerva’s new signing and former Middlesbrough FC U-23 midfielder Willaim Opoko made his debut for the team.

The 20-year-old made an immediate impact as he supplied some brilliant passes to the Minerva frontline to disturb Dalbir Academy defence.

In the 68th minute, Opoko got a chance to put his name on the score-sheet and he made no mistake to put his side 3-0 ahead.

The hosts maintained the score-line for the remaining part of the game to come out victorious.
