Chandigarh, March 2

Member of Parliament Kirron Kher laid the foundation stone of a community centre in Sector 38 here today.

Mayor Rajesh Kumar, area councillor Arun Sood, former Mayor Rajbala Malik, senior officers of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and area residents were present on the occasion.

Kirron said the community centre would be the best of its kind in the city. Earlier, area councillor Arun Sood welcomed the chief guest and other prominent persons on the occasion.

Sood said the community centre building would be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.49 crore. The community centre will have a main hall, an office, a kitchen, and separate toilets for men and women.
