National Lok Adalat on March 9 in Mohali

The first National Lok Adalat of the year will be held on March 9 here.

For an effective outcome, District and Sessions Judge Vivek Puri, who is also the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Mohali, on Tuesday convened a meeting of officials of various departments, including banks, labour, police, industrial tribunal, BSNL, water supply and electricity. 

The officials were apprised of the upcoming National Lok Adalat and were asked to bring the maximum cases to the District Legal Services Authority so that these could be disposed of at the earliest.

The Sessions Judge also appealed to people to get their issued resolved through Lok Adalats.  Monika Lamba, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Mohali, said, “Those who want to get their issues resolved can prepone the matter in the court by moving a simple application.”— TNS
