The No. 1 Chandigarh Naval NCC Unit bagged a prize for the best NCC marching contingent in this year’s Independence Day parade.

VP Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, reviewed the parade and presented them the award.

The contingent comprising 24 cadets, including six girls, was commanded by Senior Cadet Captain Sohail Khan.

Despite attending the annual training camp at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Academy, Ropar, and practicing only two sessions, the cadets’ performance was outstanding.

The Air Wing contingent led by Cadet Sahil Chahal, that comprised 25 cadets, including 13 girls, was the runners-up.
