Dr Rajesh Vijayvergiya from the Cardiology Department performed the complex and technically challenging coronary angioplasty of a 60-year-old woman. He commented that the left main coronary angioplasty, which was transmitted live, was technically challenging and required technical skills along with the use of an advanced hardware. Prof Vijayvergiya said the PGI was amongst a handful of centres in India, where such a complex procedure is successfully performed.
