YPS-Mohali win twin titles

Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, won the girls’ U-14 and boys’ U-14 category title on the concluding day of S Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament at Sector 42 Sports Complex.

In the girls’ U-14 category final, YPS defeated Learning Paths School, Mohali, 20-8. Seerat contributed nine points in the team’s win while Kismatdeep scored four points for Learning Paths School. In the boys’ final, Yadavindra Public School blanked Vivek High School, Mohali, 29-6. 

Vivek High School, Sector 38, won the boys’ U-17 title after defeating Vivek High School, Mohali, 56-31. Sehej contributed 32 points in the title win. Jashan contributed 18 points for Vivek High School, Mohali.

In the girls’ U-17 final, Vivek High School, Sector 38, beat Strawberry Fields School, Sector 26, 39-34. Prachi scored 29 points for Vivek High School. Somya of Strawberry Fields contributed 15 points for her team.  In the boys’ U-12 category, Vedansh of Learning Paths School was adjudged the best player of the tournament while Mandira of Strawberry Fields School was adjudged as the best player in the girls’ category. Ebrahim of Yadavindra Public School was named the best player of the boys’ U-14 category while Akshita from same school bagged the best player title in the girls category. In the boys’ U-17 category, Sehej of Vivek High School, Sector 38, was adjudged the best player and Nikhita of Strawberry Fields School was the best in her age category.
