District Epidemiologist Dr Gurmeet said, “There is no specific medicine for dengue. Symptomatic treatment is all that it takes to cure it. No study has proved the efficacy of goat milk. Not every patient needs hospitalisation and if a patient can eat properly and the platelet count is 80,000-100,000, he or she can recover at home.”
