Four held for running firm sans licence

Mohali, August 28

The police have arrested four persons, including two women, for running an immigration firm without licence in Phase 11 here.

The suspects have been identified as Paramjit Rai, Amandeep Singh, Raminder Kaur and Sonia, all local residents. The police said the suspects were running their immigration consultancy office for the past five months in Phase 11 here.

A case under Section 188 of the IPC and Section 24 of the Immigration Act has been registered against the four at the Phase 11 police station here. Later, the suspects were released on bail. — TNS
