On November 14, her maggot-infected body was recovered from bushes in a deserted area opposite Mayo Hospital in Sector 69. As per a CCTV camera recording in the vicinity, the victim was seen leaving the area at 4:28 pm.
The post-mortem had confirmed that the victim was raped before she was murdered and the victim’s body had nine to 10 stabs. She had injuries in the abdomen, stomach, back and on one side of vagina, possibly inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon.
Sub-Inspector Rajiv Kumar, Station House Officer, Phase VIII police station, said the investigation into the case was in progress.
