Craft and eating stalls will be missing this time from the Rose Festival which is scheduled to be held from February 23 to 25 at Rose Garden, Sector 16, Chandigarh.
This has been done following a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court over littering in the garden after last year's festival.
Taking no chances, Municipal Corporation officials have decided not to put up stalls for craft activities.
Additionally, no food stalls will be put up inside the Rose Garden like previous years. The eating stalls will be put up at Leisure Valley.
"We do not want to take chances as there are several cases pending related to this in the court," said an MC official.
