Chandigarh, February 20
To corner the ruling BJP, the Chandigarh Congress has decided to hold “Sachai Par Charcha” in different wards of the city under ex-MP Pawan Kumar Bansal to highlight the problems faced by people.
It is being held on the lines of the BJP’s “Chai Pe Charcha”.
Addressing a press conference here at Congress Bhavan in Sector 35, Bansal said they would finalise the issues to be discussed and hold sessions in every ward.
He said issues such as the fund crunch faced by the MC and additional taxes on people would be debated. Bansal also slammed the Modi government for failing to stop Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi from fleeing the country. He further mentioned how the Rotomac pen brand too was in the news over another scam.
“They are enjoying a luxurious life abroad. The common man’s money is being used for it. There is an open loot of public sector banks. There is no check on such people. We will raise the issue in our programme,” said Bansal.
