One side of P’kula-Housing Board Chowk road to open today

The Municipal Corporation has decided to open one side of the Housing Board Chowk road for vehicles tomorrow.

The road was not opened today due to the ongoing work on the entry gate. Commuters faced problems as they had to take alternative routes to reach Chandigarh.

The road from Sectors 7-8-17-10 roundabout to Housing Board Chowk was closed on July 11 for the installation of welcome gate.

Municipal Commissioner- cum-Administrator Rajesh Jogpal said, “It has been decided to open road from one side for the traffic. The road will be closed again after 11 pm for carrying out remaining work of the gate. Traffic will be diverted towards single carriage way of the double lane to give relief to commuters from tomorrow.”
