Under the IDTS system, a special track has been developed and cameras will be installed along the track. The applicant will be asked to drive the vehicle and his performance will be recorded on the camera and sensors. Marks based on the performance will be given to applicants automatically without human the interference.

The system will ensure that people with sound knowledge of traffic rules and adequate training only get the right to drive a vehicle. The system will also ensure objective evaluation of applicants’ driving skills.

Under the project, 7 tracks are being developed at the ground which include reverse track, U-turn track, wrong turn track, four junction track, Roundabout track and gradient track. Applicants will have to pass vehicles through all these tracks and the result will be out soon after the test giving the details of the performance in a transparent manner.
