Over 1,100 cases disposed of at Mohali courts

Mohali, July 8

A National Lok Adalat was held at courts in Mohali district today. Awards totalling Rs 19,57,88,407 in 1,108 cases were passed by officers.

Archana Puri, District and Sessions Judge, said with the efforts of all courts, cases were disposed of at the Lok Adalat. The process was not of today only. Officers had been putting in efforts for the success of this Lok Adalat since April 9 i.e. since the last National Lok Adalat by holding pre-lok adalats periodically.

At this National Lok Adalat, 10 benches were constituted - seven at Mohali headquarters, one in the Dera Bassi subdivision and two in the Kharar subdivision.
