Over 27K devotees visit Mansa Devi temple

Over 40,000 devotees paid obeisance at Mata Mansa Devi temple and Kali Mata temple in Kalka on the second day of the Ashwin Navratra today.

Justice Krishna Murari, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Ram Bilas Sharma, Education Minister, Haryana, were among the dignitaries who paid obeisance at the shrine.

Mukul Kumar, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, said: “A sum of Rs 14.01 lakh was donated, along with 7 gold items weighing 2.500 grams and 94 silver items of 572 grams, on the second day. A sum of Rs 10.92 lakh donation was received at the Mansa Devi shrine and Rs 3.09 lakh at the Kali Mata temple in Kalka. As many as 180 Canadian dollars, 20 Euros and 6 US dollars have been donated. Around 27,500 devotees paid obeisance at the Mata Mansa Devi temple, while 12,500 devotees visited Kali Mata temple today,” he said.
