Kitchen and dining areas will also be renovated and provided with quality infrastructure, furniture and equipment, which could be outsourced at a later stage.

Landscaping of the entire vacant space may be carried out to spruce up the site/premises.

It was also discussed that the name of the building may also be changed to the UT Guest House, Sector 18.

The Department of Hospitality will hand over the vacant premises to the Engineering Department by December 15.

The Secretary, Hospitality, will chalk out a plan to run the guest house with additional staff, if any. However, the existing permanent staff will not be disturbed.
