Panchkula resident sells financed bike, booked
Chandigarh, July 18
A Panchkula resident has been booked for duping a person by selling him a Bullet motorcycle without clearing the loan amount standing against it.
According to the police, the complainant, Rajinder Kumar Yadav of Ram Darbar, Phase II, stated that Vineet Verma of MDC, Sector 6, Panchkula, had in March this year posted an advertisement on OLX that he wanted to sell his motorcycle.
The complainant contacted Verma and met him at Mani Majra. He paid Rs 92,000 as per the deal. The suspect gave him the bike and an affidavit related to its sale. Verma had promised to deliver the remaining documents to the complainant. However, he failed to do so. The complainant later found that eight installments of the loan on the motorcycle were yet to be cleared.
Yadav then approached the police. — TNS
