Paneer manufactured by Punjab government’s Verka is substandard as it is hard to chew and digest. It seems some ingredient is used in preparing paneer, which hardens it. Best quality, consumable and healthy paneer must be soft. The quality of Verka curd too had deteriorated in the past, but after lot of complaints, it became better and worth eating. Other companies’ paneer sold at sweet shops in the local market is far better. It’s time Verka officials pay attention to improve its quality otherwise the company is all set for a doom.
