Parul to compete in Slovenia Deaf Tennis C’ship

Chandigarh: Patiala-based Parul Gupta has been selected to represent the country in the 3rd Slovenia Deaf Tennis Championship at Portorose, Slovenia, from May 18. “The tournament will help her prepare for the Deaf Olympics, which is scheduled to be held later this year. She is in good touch and is looking forward to play in the national circuit against normal players,” said Parul’s father Avinash Gupta. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
