Government teams on Monday inspected the shops selling pesticides and insecticides in Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Yamunanagar.

The teams comprised officials from the CM’s flying squad, Agriculture Department and the police. They checked licences, stock registers. As per information, six shops were inspected in Ambala, five in Kurukshetra and seven in Yamunanagar. A shop in Ambala has been issued a show-cause notice and has been restricted from selling products of a couple of brands as the shopkeeper failed to produced documents authorising the sale of the products.

A shop in Yamunanagar was sealed as the shopkeeper failed to produce required documents. Show-cause notices have been issued to some shopkeepers for selling expired products and not maintaining stock registers.
