PGGC-11 top pick for BSc (Non-medical) in city

Post Graduate Government College (PGGC), Sector 11, emerged as the top pick of students for BSc (Non-Medical) in the general pool with highest percentage admitted at 97.4 per cent. The highest cut-off, however, was for the Post Graduate Govt College for Girls, Sector 11, stood at 94 per cent. The highest percentage admitted here was 96 per cent. Out of the total 140 seats, 137 were filled today.

For BSc in computer sciences, PGGCG-11 emerged as the favourite with 93.8 per cent being the top percentage. The college also had the highest cut off at 91 per cent. It was followed by GGDSD-32 with highest percentage being 92.6 per cent. Out of the 50 seats available today, 43 were filled. The counseling for the UT pool will take place tomorrow and end on Wednesday when seats of reserved categories will be filled. BSc medical counseling also began today at DAV College, Sector 10. SGGS-26, PGGCG-11, PGGC- 11, GGDSD- 32 and PGGC- 42 all recorded a cut off of above 90 per cent. The cut-off for MCMDAV- 36 was 89.4 per cent and for DAV 10 it was 88.4 per cent. The counseling will continue tomorrow and end on Wednesday for the course.
