The district health authorities today sealed an ultrasound centre at Khurana Hospital in Pinjore after finding irregularities. The centre was sealed after a committee constituted by the Health Department indicted the hospital authorities in its report.
The Civil Surgeon, Dr Yogesh Sharma, said the ultrasound centre had been sealed and show-cause notices had been issued to the owner of the hospital and the ultrasound operator. He said the team constituted by the department, including the Deputy Civil Surgeon, Senior Medical Officer, in-charge of the Community Health Centre, Kalka, and nodal officers under the PNDT Act, had submitted its report. He said the department had found irregularities at the ultrasound system after checking the hospital records.
