In the Amritsar Improvement Trust land scam case, the accused, except Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, have moved an application to transfer the case to the court of some other senior Additional District and Sessions Judge here.

Presently, the trial is on in the court of the Mohali Additional District and Sessions Judge here.

The accused, including Tara Singh and Nachchatar Singh, have moved the application for the transfer of the case to other court of senior judge. Today, the court set February 21 for the Punjab Vigilance Bureau to file its reply on the application in question. Earlier, Capt Amarinder Singh did not turn up in the court today. It was told that Capt Amarinder Singh was not well due to which the court had exempted him from personal appearance. — TNS
