Chandigarh, November 3

Nearly 4,000-strong parent body of Vivek High School in Sector 38 here today witnessed the field display, one of unity, togetherness, colour and music, wherein  students performed and presented choreographed fitness drills, zumba, aerobics and a choreographed dance drama, ‘Parsley Square’, during their 22nd founder’s day celebrations on their school grounds.

The evening started with a march past wherein students marched together in their house colours — Vikramashila, Nalanda, Taxila and Gandhara – encouraging a spirit of healthy competition between the houses and fostering a sense of unity within them.

They exhibited flexibility and strength in the form of creative and fun-filled exercises. The performance put up by Classes I and II presented an aerobic dance with western beats. The extravaganza came to an end with ‘Parsley Square’, a musical production, which showcased a story of a town located somewhere between imagination and reality travelling through time in its unique musical mode. The beautiful set and movement sequences took one and all  to a journey that revive lost myths and old wives’ tales, tales of love, dance, peace, music and co-existence. The evening came to an end with the houses marching along with alumnus of the school.
