Polio drive: 20,595 children to be covered in Zirakpur

The three-day pulse polio campaign to administer polio drops to the children up to the age of five years began here on Sunday.
Director, Health and Family Welfare, Jaspal Kaur, along with Rita Bhardwaj, Civil Surgeon, Mohali, Pommy Chatrath, SMO, Dhakoli, and other officials jointly inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to the children at Zirakpur.
The Civil Surgeon said 20,595 children up to five years will be administered polio drops under the campaign at Zirakpur.
She added that 76 teams, including three mobile teams, have been constituted to supervise the campaign.
“The teams would tour rural areas, slums and visit door-to-door to ensure that no child is left out without polio drops,” said Rita Bhardwaj.
