Two days after Chandigarh Tribune highlighted the poor pass percentage of government schools in the CBSE Class X exams, the UT Education Department on Thursday issued orders to those teachers whose result was below 70 per cent to take remedial classes during summer vacations to improve their results.

The orders were issued by the District Education Officer (DEO), UT Education Department, to all the heads of the government schools. The directions were also issued to the school heads to personally monitor the performance of the teachers to make their teaching more effective.
