Prabhat, Sanjay, Mona win athletics gold

Chandigarh, February 3

Prabhat Katiyar, Saurabh Duggal and Sukhwinderpal Sodhi claimed the top three positions, respectively, in the men's open 2km walk during the Servo Inter-Media Athletics Meet, organised by Chandigarh Press Club, at the Sector 7 Sports Complex on Sunday.

In the +45 category, Sanjay Kalia, Sajan Sharma and Apnesh took the top three positions, respectively. Parvesh and Sanjay claimed the top two positions, respectively, in the +55 category. In women's open category, Mona won the top position, followed by Deepika and Sonam Katiyar. In +45 category, Neerupama, Silona and Anu Sabharwal took the first three positions, respectively. In the women’s long jump event, Charanjit Kaur won the top position, while Inderjit claimed the second position and Sunita finished third. —TNS
