Patiala, August 20
To ensure hassle-free bookings for the passengers, Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) launched its own mobile app, PEPSU Online.
The PRTC Chairman, KK Sharma, informed this would not only bring the entire online booking system, which was earlier with private companies, in the hands of the corporation, but will also save the commission that was paid to these companies for the bookings.
Earlier, the bus bookings were done through private online websites, but the corporation has now developed its own application to ensure that the passengers can book the tickets directly through the PRTC app.
In fact, as many as 300 bookings have been already done on the newly-launched app. KK Sharma informed that this facility, in the first phase, would be available for the PRTC’s HVAC and Goldline buses. The app does not include the online bookings, but it also provides information about routes and timings.
