Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) officials here on Tuesday conducted a raid at the traffic police beat box in Zirakpur and found that it was allegedly being run with a 'kundi' connection. The PSPCL officials disconnected the power supply.

The officials found that electricity was being tapped illegally and no electricity meter was installed at the beat box. Sources said the team confiscated the illegal wires after snapping the power connection and a report was being prepared to calculate the penalty that could be imposed on the traffic police.
