Keshav of hosts Panjab University was adjudged the all-round best gymnast on the third and concluding day of the All-India Inter-University Gymnastics Championship for Men, here on Thursday.
His university mate Shivam claimed the second spot, while Satyajit Mondal of the University of Calcutta bagged the third position.
Keshav topped the parallel bars competition, while Shiva dominated the field in the floor exercise and pommel horse events. Mondal won a silver medal in the rigs contest and returned with a bronze each in the table vault and horizontal bars.
Ujwal Naidu of Bangalore University won a silver medal in the floor exercise. PU’s Nilanshu bagged the bronze medal.
In the pommel horse competition, Shivam was followed by Kurukshetra University’s Prince Pal and Gaurav Singh of Mohanlal Sukhadia University in second and third places, respectively.
PU’s Swathish KP topped the podium in the rigs competition, while his university mate Ajay finished third. Swathish also led the field in the table vault contest.
Aishwarya, also from Panjab University, won the gold medal in the horizontal bar. He was followed by Saurabh Sharma of VBS Purvanchal University in second place.
The hosts also dominated the team championship in the artistic gymnastics.
The University of Mumbai claimed the second spot, while Punjabi University, Patiala, bagged the third position.
