PU-MEET on July 14

Panjab University will conduct the PU-MEET (Panjab University Migration in Engineering Entrance Test) on July 14. The test has been introduced this year in the region and will facilitate lateral entry to the engineering students in the second year at the UIET, PU, or DRSSBUICET, or UIET, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur.
The aspirants need to have passed the first year in bachelor of engineering from any college/university recognised by the PU. In addition, the aspirant must have appeared for the JEE exam in the preceding year.
The seats which fell vacant during session 2018-19 shall be filled through the test.
The PU MEET will provide another opportunity to students who could not make it to the PU engineering institutes in 2018-19 session and acquire degree from the prestigious university. In addition to this, already enrolled students in aforementioned institutes will get an opportunity to upgrade their branch through the test. A source said: “There are around 200 vacant seats in different branches of engineering, which shall be offered through the PU MEET.”
