Jaspal Kaur Kaang, Professor and academic in-charge of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies and co-ordinator, Department of Punjabi, University School of Open learning of Panjab University has been honored with the Award of ‘Eminent Personality in Sikh Scholarship’.

The prestigious award was conferred upon her at the celebration of National Education conclave and SOE Global Education Awards 2019. The award was presented to her by the School of Educators at the Constitutional Club of Delhi India.

Before taking the Award, Kaang expressed her views about Guru Nanak’s wide concept of education of strengthing innerself and to do welfare to the society. She was there at the function as a guest of honor also. Kaang had been conferred ‘Punjab Rattan Award’ at 38 All India Intellectual Conference Delhi in 2018. She has served the Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies as a chairperson for a long time.
