PU to conduct BEd entrance exam for Punjab

Panjab University, Chandigarh, will conduct Punjab State B.Ed entrance examination on Sunday for admission to B.Ed course (session 2019-21) in B.Ed colleges affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, and Punjabi University, Patiala.
Prof Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examinations, and Dr Jatinder Grover, Coordinator, who are coordinating the examination activities, said nearly 18,600 candidates would be appearing in this entrance test for which 50 examination centres had been created in all districts of the state. All necessary arrangements have been made and 11 teams are put on job for the smooth conduct of the test.
All centres have been sent the necessary instructions and staff are assigned duties for the purpose. E-admit cards have been issued. Observers and flying squads are deputed to visit all examination centres. The local administration will provide necessary assistance to all examination centres for maintaining law and order in the respective districts.
The exam will be held from 10.30 am to 1 pm and there is no negative marking. Candidates are advised to reach the centre half an hour before the start of the exam along with e-admit card and photo identity. Mobile/electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination centre. Candidates are further advised to take away the carbon copy of the OMR for their reference. The tentative date of declaration of the result is July 29.
